More treats than tricks

A little rain, and a cancelled parade could not damper the
spirits of those who came out Halloween night, to attend the 18th
Annual Schererville Lions Halloween Parade and Costume Contest.
From Darth Vader and Bob the Builder to cow costumes and
munchkins dressed up as Princess Leia from Star Wars, it was a
true spectacle of all sorts of creatures and characters. We would
like to thank all those who judged, passed out the treats and
kept the crowd in order. The Schererville Lions would especially
like to thank Lion Tom and Lion Becky Talaga for again organizing
this year's event. Due to an evening of Bingo that was scheduled
at St. Michaels the Town of Schererville was kind enough to allow
us to hold the party at the town hall. Thank you Town of
Schererville.

This years October Candy Day was a true success! On October 14
and 15, the Schererville Lions held one of the two scheduled
candy days for the year. We had great weather, great support from
the community, and not to mention great organization thanks to
Lion Glenn Karczewski. Between Friday night and Saturday, the
Schererville Lions were able to exceed our projected goal. What
teamwork!
